We believe spirituality is about the relationships we build with ourselves, with others, with the wider world, and with God.
Spiritual development is not something that can be taught in a single lesson; it is nurtured through the daily life of our school, through opportunities for reflection, awe and wonder, creativity, prayer, stillness, questioning, and belonging.
Inspired by our Christian vision and values, we encourage every child and adult to flourish as unique individuals made in the image of God. We want our pupils to develop a sense of meaning, purpose, and identity, and to grow in compassion, gratitude, hope, and courage.
We recognise that spirituality can be experienced in many ways: in moments of quiet reflection, in acts of kindness, in worship, in nature, in music and art, in times of joy, and in times of challenge or loss. We provide opportunities for children to explore the big questions of life and to reflect on what they believe, value, and wonder about.
Spirituality is woven through our curriculum, collective worship, relationships, and wider school life. We aim to create a culture where every member of our community is invited to pause, reflect, wonder, and grow.
To support spiritual and moral development, we use the ‘Window, mirror, door’ strategy as we learn about our core Christian values.
