Sports Premium

The Government provides Sports Premium funding to every state primary school in England. A lump sum for each school, with a per-pupil top-up, is awarded. The funding objectives place great emphasis on improving the teaching and coaching for all children in primary school education and therefore inspiring the Olympic and Paralympic stars of the future. This impact on the quality of teaching is also supposed to be sustainable for future generations. In addition to quality of teaching and learning, the Sports Premium funding can be used to encourage participation in a variety of after school clubs and intra-school competitions or can provide opportunities for children to experience a new sport.

Schools are required to publish information about their use of the Sports Premium on their website.  Please do ask our Head Teacher if you would like any further details.
